217 vs New Zealand (2017)

This is the highest test score in the career of Shakib so it had to be included in this list regardless of the result of this match and it came in New Zealand as well. Bangladesh were batting first and Shakib came in at number 6 and started hitting the ball to all parts of the ground and he hit 31 fours in this innings and in just 276 balls made 217 at a strike rate of 78.62 and it remains the only test double hundred of his career.

6/59 vs Zimbabwe (2014)

One of the best bowling performances in the career of Shakib Al Hasan came against Zimbabwe in 2014 where Bangladesh won the test match and he was the star.  In the first innings of that match he broke the back of the Zimbabwe team and took 6 wickets for just 59 runs and in almost 25 overs and as a result of his performance Bangladesh won the match by 3 wickets and he was the star like he usually is.

In the 2nd innings of this match he took 5 wickets for 68 runs in 25.4 overs and Australia could only make 217 runs and when it was the most pressure in the 4th innings Shakib took another 5 wicket haul and this time he bowled 28 overs and Bangladesh won this test match by 20 runs and he was the hero of the nation.

124* vs West Indies (2019)

The 2019 was a dream for Shakib Al Hasan because he became the first player in history to hit more than 600 runs and take 10+ wickets in the same World Cup and he single handedly took Bangladesh to this record chase of 322 vs West Indies. Shakib came in at number 3 and from ball 1 attacked the West Indies Bowlers and he hit 26 fours in this magnificent innings and in just 99 balls at a strike rate of 125.25 made 124* and took Bangladesh home with more than 8 overs to spare which is outrageous.

5/29 vs Afghanistan (2019)

The previous performance was a batting performance from the 2019 World Cup and this last and fifth on my list is a bowling performance from the same World Cup so you can imagine what a run he was in. Afghanistan were chasing 263 runs to win this match and Shakib Al Hasan took a 5 wicket haul and made Bangladesh win yet again and in 10 overs he gave away only 29 runs and was my man of the tournament. What an amazing champion he has been.
