This was the first test match in the career of Faf Du Plessis and to get a combined score of 188 runs in his 2 innings at Adelaide Oval is simply worthy to be put in this list right at the top. It is not easy at all to play your first test match against a top team and do so well. In his first batting innings he made a good 78 Runs from 159 balls with 13 fours and 1 six. His best knock came in the all important 4th innings where he was responsible for saving the test match when he made 110* from 376 balls and he hit 14 fours and he batted out the overs and got his first test hundred in his second innings.

199 vs Sri Lanka (2020)
The highest score in the career of Faf Du Plessis vane in 2020 when he hit 199 ns Sri Lanka and he missed the double hundred by just 1 run. Still this was a sensational innings where he played attacking style of cricket and smashed the Sri Lankan bowlers to all parts of the ground and he hit 24 fours that means 96 runs in boundaries. His strike rate was 72.10 in the innings and it was this innings by Faf that ensured that South Africa won this match easily. He would be sad that he missed his double hundred.

185 vs Sri Lanka (2017)
It looks like Faf Du Plessis loves playing against Sri Lanka as he not only got his highest test score of 199 against them but he also got a mammoth 185 runs in an ODI match against them in 2017. This was a brutal innings because 185 is not made everyday in an ODI match and Faf Du Plessis made 185 out of the 367 Runs that South Africa made in that 50 overs. In this monster innings he hit 16 fours and 3 sixes which means a total of 82 runs in boundaries and a strike rate of 131.21. It was a great innings to watch unless you are a Sri Lankan fan.

125 vs Australia (2018)
The fourth Innings on my list is the incredible 125 runs that he made against Australia in 2018 while batting first in this ODI. Faf Du Plessis was in hot form at that point and this knock against Australia was one of his best. He made 125 from just 114 balls while hitting.25 fours and 2 sixes meaning 72 runs in boundaries. He was striking at 109.65. South Africa won this match by 40 runs and he was one of the main reasons behind this win.

119 vs West Indies (2015)
Even though South Africa lost this match, this innings by Faf Du Plessis deserves to be in this list because it was sheer brutality and T20 hitting at its very best. South Africa were batting first and they made 23@ runs in 20 overs and Faf Du Plessis hit 119 runs off those in just 56 balls and he hit 11 fours and 5 sixes meaning a total of 74 runs in boundaries. His strike rate was an incredible 212.50 in this innings and it was his only hundred in T20IS for South Africa.
