Then he shifted gears and the sixes started coming in and all parts of the ground were used In this innings. There was a 100 run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Robin Uthappa for over a 100 and Robin Uthappa only scored 12. Rohit Sharma smashed 33 fours and 9 sixes in this incredible once in a lifetime innings which means he hit 186 runs in boundaries alone which is absolutely mind boggling.
This innings was class and the way he accelerated after hitting the 100 and in the next 73 balls he hit 164 runs at a strike rate of more than 200. Rohit Sharma has hit 3 double hundreds in ODIs but this is the one that will be remembered the most.
