Talking about the 200* by Sachin Tendulkar vs South Africa at Gwalior

This is one innings which will never be forgotten for a multiple of reasons. And how appropriate it is that the first person to score 200* in an ODI match is the greatest batter to ever play the game of cricket. The innings was played against arguably the best fast bowling attack that was in 2010 when he played this knock.

Sachin Tendulkar has done everything there is to do in cricket and this was the only batting achievement that was left and in the 40+ year history of ODI cricket till this day nobody had scored a double hundred in ODI cricket and if it was looking like this it would be a mountain top heavy to climb.

Sachin Tendulkar showed that age was no barrier

When he played this innings in 2010, Sachin Tendulkar was approaching 37 years and generally in this age the players retire from cricket because they have played enough and they want to enjoy life as a retired cricketer. However, Sachin Tendulkar was different as he played till the time he was 40 and at the age of 37 he hit his first ODI 200 and that should be an inspiration to all aging players that if you want to play at an old age you can but one has to have the passion to play for your country.
