118 vs New Zealand (2014)


As I said before that Ajinkya Rahane was a better player away from home and his first test hundred came in New Zealand against a very good New Zealand bowling attack in 2014 and it came at a very fast pace as he made 118 runs from just 158 Balls in conditions that were not easy to bat on. This shows the class of Ajinkya. He came in at number 7 and immediately started attacking the bowlers and he hit 17 fours and 1 six in this innings meaning a total of 74 runs in boundaries. His strike was a very good 74.68 and it was one of the most impressive first test hundreds by an Indian batter in some time.

103 vs England (2014)


The second innings from 2014 and this is one of the best innings that Ajinkya Rahane has ever played in his test career and it was because of his 103 that India won this test match at Lord’s and he got his name on the honors board as well. India were batting first and he came at number 5 and he started attacking the England bowling and he only took 154  balls to make his 103 and in this incredible performance he hit 15 Fours and 1 six meaning 66 runs in boundaries and at a strike rate of 66.86 against the moving ball in Lord’s is special and most importantly India won this match by 95 runs.

147 vs Australia (2014)


It looks like Ajinkya Rahane wanted to Score a test hundred in every country he played in the year 2014 as this is the third hundred from that year in this list and it is in Australia against the then beat tear team in the world. Looking at his performances overseas it can be safely said that he is the best batter for India outside of home. In this innings India were batting second and Ajinkya Rahane at number 5 started counter attacking the bowling and he got great results for it. He only faced 171 balls for his 147 and he hit 21 fours in this innings and his strike rate was an outstanding 85.96 and it was due to this innings that this match was a draw.

127 and 100* vs South Africa (2015)


This is the first home performance of Ajinkya Rahane that is on this list and what a performance it was from the star batter from India. He got 2 hundreds in each of the innings of the test match against a strong South Africa bowling lineup and in the first innings he made 127 from 215 balls and he hit 11 fours and 4 sixes which means a total of 68 runs in boundaries. This was an exhibition of batsmanship from him. In the third Innings of the test match he came at number 6 to bat and he played the similar innings and this time he was not out and he faced 206 balls for his 100* in which he hit 8 fours and 3 sixes meaning 7 sixes in total in a test match. India won this match by 337 runs and Ajinkya Rahane made 227 runs in total in this match.

112 vs Australia (2020)


I knew exactly what the fifth performance In this list would be and according to Ajinkya Rahane himself this is the most special innings for him in his glorious test career. India were Bowled out for 36 in the last test match and they had lost Virat Kohli and in that situation to play such an incredible innings shows the character of the man. This innings was a treat as he came at number 4 and just went about his business and made 112 runs from 223 balls and he hit 12 fours and at a strike rate of 50.22 and due to his brilliance India came back in this series.
