146* vs South Africa (1999)

There is a reason why I have included this performance in my list and that is because we rarely see true test match innings where the batter takes time and frustrates the opposition so much and after batting 165 odd overs is still not out. This innings by Nasser Hussain was test match batting at its finest. He batted for 463 balls and for over 160 overs and he only hit 17 fours in this innings and his strike rate was a touch over 31. These types of innings are hard to play and when a batter is not out at the end it deserves a mention on our list.

155 vs India (2002)

The third performance on my list is this innings against India that he played in 2002 and this was again a test match classic by this great batter from England. England were batting first and Nasser Hussain came to bat at number 3 and he played for 331 balls in this innings and hit 25 fours meaning 100 runs in boundaries alone meaning the discipline he showed by playing so many dot balls and only striking at 46.83 was incredible to watch. Nasser Hussain got in the heads of the Indian bowlers and as a result of his innings England won this match by 170 runs.
