1. Jamie Vardy -


Jamie Vardy‘s party started all those years ago in May 2012, when he moved from Fleetwood Town for £1 million. Vardy only scored five goals in his debut season in the Premier League. Then, the following season, hell froze over as Leicester defied all odds to win the Premier League, and the England international went on to break Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 11 consecutive games. He was named Premier League Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year when the team was crowned English champions that season.

2. Muzzy Izzet -


Muzzy Izzet, a Turkish midfielder, joined Leicester on loan in March 1996 and made an instant impact, scoring a crucial goal against Watford on the penultimate day of the season to ensure a playoff spot. Following City’s promotion, he made the transfer permanent for £800,000 from Chelsea, and he went on to make 269 appearances for the club. Izzet, a powerful midfielder, developed a formidable partnership in the Leicester midfield with Neil Lennon and Robbie Savage, helping the team to four consecutive Premier League top-ten finishes and two League Cup victories.


3. Arthur Chandler -


Chandler is still Leicester’s all-time leading goal scorer. In 393 games, he scored an incredible 273 goals. The forward also holds the records for the most goals scored in a single season (34), the most goals scored in a top-flight (203), the most hat-tricks (17), and the most goals scored in a single game (17). (six). His remarkable attacking impact on the Foxes earns him a position among Leicester’s all-time greats.

4. Gary Lineker -


Lineker is without a doubt one of Leicester’s most well-known sons. The Englishman, a native of Leicester, began his professional career there and went on to make 194 appearances for the club, scoring 95 goals. Lineker scored 22 and 24 goals in his only two first-division seasons with the club. The Englishman, who is still regarded as a club icon, frequently reminds TV audiences of his deep links to the club. His appearance in his underpants for the first 2016/17 Match of the Day, as promised if Leicester won the league in 2015/16, was a perfect example of this.


5. Arthur Rowley -


Rowley scored 44 goals42 league appearances for Leicester City in 1956–57, breaking the club record for most goals in a single season. With 265 goals for the Foxes, he is only 8 goals behind Arthur Chandler for the club’s all-time goalscoring record. With 434 goals in 619 league games, he holds the record for most goals scored in English league football history.

6. Wes Morgan -


The captain of the Leicester team that won the Premier League in 2016, defying logic, odds, and expectations. Morgan’s leadership traits, great enthusiasm, and dedication were passed down to the rest of the team. Following his arrival at the club in 2012, he was named captain for the 2012/13 season. After 270 games, they became the first Jamaican to win the Premier League. His most center-back notable contribution was playing every minute of Leicester’s title-winning season in 2015/16; he was one of just three outfield players to do so.


7. Kasper Schmeichel -


The son of legendary Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, Kasper Schmeichel is the second goalkeeper in our list of best Leicester City players of all time. The 34 years old goalie started his career at Manchester City and played for different clubs before finding himself a regular spot in Leicester City's first team in 2011. He has played 346 league matches for the club since then and is on his route to becoming one of the most legendary Leicester City players ever.


8. Riyad Mahrez -


The only African player to feature in the list of best Leicester City players of all time and one of the players from the 2015-16 season team, Riyad Mahrez is one of Leicester City's best footballers of all time with his great performances at the 158 league matches for the club. He has also scored some 42 league goals and will always be remembered as one of the best wingers of the Foxes.


Riyad Mahrez signed with English club Leicester City in the winter transfer window of 2014, guiding them to lift the Championship at the end of his first season and winning promotion to the English Premier League. He was selected as the Algerian Footballer of the Year at the end of the 2015-16 season, the PFA Players' Player of the Year, and also he was a part of the PFA Team of the Year in the English Premier League when he assisted Leicester City to secure the Premier League title.

9. Graham Cross -


Graham Cross holds the record for most appearances for the club in all competitions with 599 matches played for Leicester City between 1960 and 1976. Of these appearances, 498 were in league matches, where he managed to score 29 goals.

Although he was a good player and many consider him one of the best players of the Foxes, he failed to convince Ray Illingworth to call him to represent the England National Team. He retired from playing professional football at the age of 36, only three years after leaving Leicester City.


10. N'Golo Kanté -


Steve Walsh, who also coordinated Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez's move to the Foxes, scouted N'Golo Kanté for Leicester City. In the summer of 2015, he put pen to a four-year deal with Leicester for a fee of 8 million euros.  Five days later, he played his first match for the club by replacing Vardy for the last eight minutes of a 4-2 victory against Sunderland. He netted his first goal in a 2-1 home victory over Watford on November 7.


For his regularly outstanding performances for Leicester, he received much acclaim and much applause and was generally perceived to be a big factor in the great form of the club when they ended up winning the 2015-16 Premier League, regularly making a large number of tackles and interceptions. He was one of 4 Leicester players appointed to the PFA Team of the Year back in April. At the end of the season, Kanté had completed 157 interceptions and 175 tackles, better than any other player.


11. Gordon Banks -


Gordon Banks was one of the legendary goalkeepers in English football and with around 300 league appearances for the Foxes between 1959 and 1967, we can include him in the list of best Leicester City players of all time. With 73 matches played for England National Team, Gordon is also one the most capped goalkeepers in English football, and everyone will always remember him for his amazing performances which helped England win the 1966 World Cup.


As one of the greatest players in the history of Leicester City, before becoming a Leicester player in 1959 for a fee of 7000 pounds, Gordon Banks began his career in Chesterfield, and it was at Leicester City where he got his first international cap in a match against Scotland in 1963. Gordon Banks appeared in all matches of the 1966 World Cup for England, which ended with a 4-2 win over West Germany in the Wembley. He was runner-up in two FA Cup Finals during his eight years career at Leicester and claimed the League Cup with the Foxes in 1964, finally joining Stoke in 1967. He remained with the Potters until he retired from professional football.
