1989 Wimbledon Final vs Ivan Lendl


He had to wait 4 years for his Second Grand Slam title and the second one that he won was also the Wimbledon title and it was against Ivan Lendl and this was a 3 set affair as Boris Becker won this match in 3 sets. He won the first set 6-4 and the second set 6-3 but he had to work hard to win the 3rd which he eventually won 7-5 and won his second Wimbledon title as well. He was becoming a Wimbeldon great but he had to win the other Slams as well.

1989 US Open Final vs Ivan Lendl


The first US Open title for Boris Becker came just after the Wimbledon title he won in 1989 and this time as well he was facing Ivan Lendl in the final but this was a much closer contest than the first time they met as this was a 4 set thriller. Boris Becker won the first set in a tie break 7-6 but lost the second set badly by 1-6 but the way he came back in the next 2 sets to win the match was commendable. He won the 3rd set 6-3 and the 4th set in another tie break by 7-6 and thus winning his first US Open title.

1991 Australian Open Final vs Ivan Lendl


Looks like Boris Becker and Ivan Lendl were destined to meet in a Grand Slam final and this was the 3rd time they faced each other in a Grand Slam final. This was a 4 set match but this was a less close of a contest.
