This was the 1st out of the 8 Doubles Grand Slam titles and this was with her Indian teammate Mahesh Bhupathi and they became the first mixed doubles Indian pair to win a Grand Slam title. Their opponents were Nathalie Dechy and Andy Ram and Sania and Mahesh won the final in straight sets by 6-3 and 6:1 and this was the start of the Grand Slam journey of Sania Mirza. 2012 French Open Mixed Doubles Final
Her first French Open title was in 2012 and yet again it was with Mahesh Bhupathi that she won this title as well so it goes to show that these two were one of the best mixed doubles pairs in the world. They faced off against Klaudia Jans- Ignacim and Santigo Gonzalez and in the 1at set it was 6-6 going into a tie break which Sania and Mahesh won and the set 7-6. 2015 Wimbledon Women’s Doubles Final
Yet another Indian Grand Slam winner and yet Another Time Martina Hingis was the partner beside the Indian to win a Grand Slam abs this match was one of the toughest in the career of Sania Mirza as she had to go almost 2 hours and win the title in a close 3 setter against Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina and Sania and Martina lost the 1st set 7-5 and then to come back and win the 2nd set in a tie break 7-6 and finally win the deciding set 7-5 showed so much character, determination and resilience of both Sania and Martina and this is undoubtedly one I’d the best performances of Sania Mirza.
2015 US Open Women’s Doubles Final
After winning the Wimbledon title in 2015, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis went to the US Open as one of the favorites and they did not disappoint as they won the doubles final here as well making it back to back for the pair and this time they convincingly beat their opponents Casey Dellacqua in straight sets 6-3 and 6-3 thus rounding off a great couple of months for Sania Mirza.
