1) 2/58 and 5/59 vs England (2007)


RP Singh is one of the few Indian test bowlers who has a 5 wicket haul at Lord’s and this was the only time he took 5 wickets in a test innings. In the first batting innings for England he got 2 wickets for 58 runs in 17 overs. He had a run rate of a little more than 3 per over. However it was his Bowling in the second innings that was incredible. He took 5 wickets for 59 runs in 16.3 overs meaning he bowled 33.3 overs In this test match. This test match was a draw because of the 7 wickets by RP Singh.

2) 4/89 vs Pakistan (2006)


His second best bowling performance in test cricket came in his first test match. It was against Pakistan and he showed the world why he was rated so highly by everyone. RP Singh was the best bowler in the first batting innings of Pakistan as in 25 overs he gave 89 runs and took 4 Wickets at a economy rate of less than 4. The other Bowlers got hit all over the ground. The match was a draw but these 4 wickets by RP Singh meant that he had arrived.

3) 4/35 vs Sri Lanka (2005)


The best ODI bowling performance by RP Singh came in this match against Sri Lanka. The 3 performances in this list so far have all come against different teams and all of them were Top teams at that time. Sri Lanka were batting first and RP Singh bowled 8.5 overs and he fooktook 4 wickets for just 35 runs at 4 runs per over. He was simply sensational and the cricket world knew that he would be a good all format Bowler. Sri Lanka got all out for 196 and India won the match by 7 wickets.

4) 4/40 vs Pakistan (2006)


At number 4 is yet another performance vs Pakistan and this was his second best ODI bowling performance. Pakistan were playing at their home and were batting first. RP Singh bowled all 10 overs and he only gave away 40 runs and took 4 Wickets which broke the back of the Pakistani batting. They only made 161 and India won this match by 5 wickets and RP Singh was man of the match. He was showing that he can Bowl well anywhere and against anybody.

5) 4/13 vs South Africa (2007)


RP Singh was a very important part of the winning T20I World Cup winning squad in 2007. His best T20I performance was against hosts South Africa and this was a must win match for India. RP Singh bowled his 4 overs and he took 4 Wickets while giving away just 13 runs at 3 runs per over. It us astonishing the level of fast bowling RP Singh was doing in this match. It was because of his heroics that India won this all important match by 37 runs and stayed alive in the tournament.
