The first test innings and that too at Lord’s and he makes a brilliant hundred so this is a performance worthy of this list. Sourav Ganguly came to bat at number 3 in this match and from the first ball he showed that he was made for test match cricket and he took on the England bowling and he faced 301 balls and he hit 20 fours in this innings and he had a strike rate of 43.52 and after this knock he was a mainstay in this team. 136 vs England (1996)


This was the second test match in the career of Sourav Ganguly and he followed up the first test hundred by hitting his second in his second test match. This was simply incredible and in this match he again came at number 3 and this time he was batting more aggressive than in the previous match and he batted for 268 balls and he hit 17 fours and 2 sixes In this innings meaning a total of 80 runs in boundaries. He had a strike rate of 50.75 in this innings and made sure that India did not lose this match.

101* vs New Zealand (1999)


This was one of the best 4th innings hundred by an Indian batter and that is the reason this is in this list. Sourav Ganguly made sure that India did not lose this match. India needed 415 runs in the 4th innings and Sourav Ganguly was in attack mode as he only took 111 balls to make 101* and he hit 15 fours and 2 sixes meaning a total of 72 runs in boundaries and he showed that he can bludgeon the bowling even in test cricket. This was an outstanding hundred in difficult conditions.


128 vs England (2002)

239 and 91 vs Pakistan (2007)


This was the best test match in the career of Sourav Ganguly and it came at the end of his career vs Pakistani in 2007. While batting first Dada came to bat and he started going after the bowling and he batted for 361 balls and he hit 30 fours and 2 sixes meaning a total of 132 runs in boundaries. Then in the second batting innings again Sourav Ganguly was the star as he hit a quick 91 runs in 134 balls hitting 12 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 67.91. He hit a total of 330 runs in this test match which is mind boggling.
