We have Sachin Tendulkar vs Rahul Dravid in the finale and all the Indian fans have a lot to choose from. He is the greatest of all time and for 24 years he was the heartbeat of every Indian cricket fan and he made the sport reach a global level like never before. He is my favorite player of all time and he will never be replaced. He still has that impact on everyone even after 9 years of retirement.
Test Cricket
He has played test cricket for 24 years and he has played 200 Test Matches in that time which is the most of all time. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 15921 which is at least 2000+ more than the others so that puts him in a league of his own. He has got all these runs at an incredible average of 53.78. He has also made 51 Test hundreds which is the highest by any cricketer in history. He has a highest score of 248*.

ODI Cricket
The story is the same in ODI Cricket as it was in test cricket. He played a record 463 ODI matches which is 15 more than the number 2. He scored 18426 runs in ODI Cricket at a good average of 44.63. He has scored 49 hundreds in ODIs which is also an all time record till now which takes his 100s tally in international cricket to 100 international hundreds and I don’t think it will be broken ever. The best ever he was.

Rahul Dravid
Rahul Dravid is also one of the best players to ever play for India and if there was no Rahul Dravid then the Indian team would not have been as great as it was in that era. Rahul Dravid was a once in a lifetime player in both formats and he was the perfect team player as well. I will always have a lot of respect for him.
Test Cricket
This is the format that was the best for Rahul Dravid in his career. He played 164 Test Matches in his career in which he scored 13288 test runs and he made these at a very good average of 52.88. He also made 36 hundreds in test cricket with his highest score being 270. He was called The Wall of Indian cricket because he did not get out easily.

ODI Cricket
This is the format in which he surprised everyone because everyone thought that he would not be successful In this format but he proved everyone wrong as he played 344 ODIs for India. And in those Matches he made 10889 runs for India and he got it at an average of 39.16. He also scored 12 hundreds in ODI Cricket. A truly remarkable player.

Now we come to the part where we have to compare the stats of these 2 greats. In test cricket Sachin Tendulkar is ahead as not only he has got 2000+ more runs and he has a better average and he has made 15 more test hundreds than Rahul Dravid so he has an edge in test cricket. However the gap in ODI Cricket is much more as Sachin Tendulkar has got 8000+ more runs than Rahul Dravid and a much better average and he has also made 37 more ODI hundreds than Rahul Dravid.
