Oliver Kahn is a smart, bold, and aggressive Ex-Bayern Munich star who was one of the most recognisable players of his time. Throughout the course of his legendary 20-year career, he triumphed and suffered heartache. Kahn was a perfectionist with a winning mentality who frequently played like a man possessed. His peculiarities in German football caused controversy. He earned the monikers "The Titan," "King Kahn," and "Vol-Kahn-o" from Bayern supporters, but others poked fun of his fierce demeanor.

 

Club Career:

 

Over his career, Oliver Kahn made 557 appearances, the majority of which were for Bayern Munich. Kahn, who is currently 39 years old, began his professional career in the 1987–1988 season with Karlsruher SC.

 

Kahn was sent to German powerhouse Bayern Munich in 1994. Kahn was particularly successful in this area. Bayern advanced to the UEFA Champions League final in 1999, but they were defeated by Manchester United. Nonetheless, Bayern returned to the championship game in 2001, and Kahn was named Player of the Match as Bayern overcame Valencia, 5-4 on penalties.

 

King Kahn played his final season in 2007–2008. With 190 clean sheets that season, Kahn surpassed all other goalkeepers in the Bundesliga, then on September 2, 2007, he surpassed them all with 535 games played. On May 7, he participated in his final league game, leading his squad to a 4-1 victory over Hertha Berlin.

International Career:

 

Oliver Kahn made his international debut for Germany in 1995, but it wasn't until the 1998 FIFA World Cup that he rose to the position of starting goalkeeper. Kahn excelled during the competition, and he was essential in advancing Germany to the championship game. Despite losing to Brazil, Kahn was given the Golden Ball as the competition's top player. He again received the Golden Ball during the 2002 World Cup, as he once more guided Germany to the final, but they fell to Brazil. In addition to the World Cup, Kahn also achieved success at the 2008 European Championships, when he assisted Germany in winning the tournament. Despite their defeat to Spain, Kahn once again shown exceptional performance.
