She has played 240 Matches for South Africa in her career. In those Matches she took 314 Wickets. 191 of these Wickets were in ODI Cricket and 123 were in T20I Cricket. She is one of the few bowlers to have taken more than 120 Wickets in both white ball formats. She could not win an ICC trophy for her country. Shabnim Ismail is the highest wicket taker for South Africa in both ODIs and T20IS for the women.

She is one of the most prolific batters to have played for South Africa. She was a player that was ahead of her time. Mignon Du Preez played 269 international matches for South Africa in her career. 268 of those were in white ball cricket. She made 3760 runs in ODI Cricket with 2 hundreds. She made 1804 runs in 114 T20Is. Mignon Du Preez was the one who Laura Wolvaardt looked up to. She only played 1 Test Match in her career.
Laura Wolvaardt
The current number 1 batter in ODI Cricket for women. Laura Wolvaardt had her defining tournament in the 2025 Cricket World Cup where she made an astonishing 571 runs in just 9 Matches. She made a match winning 169 in the semi final and in the final she made another century. Laura Wolvaardt has many more years of cricket left in her .
