The full name of Matthew Hayden is Matthew Lawrence Hayden and he was born on 29th October 1971 in Queensland Australia and since when he was young he was fascinated by his gero Allan Border who was also a left handed batter and he also wanted to play for Australia when he grew up and after getting the proper training ahe scoring runs in first class cricket he played for Australia. He is fondly called Haydos by his teammates, peers and the fans as well. He was an imposing man at 6 ft 1 inch and he used all of his height to dominate the bowlers and instill fear in them. He was also a right arm medium pace bowler but he didn’t bowl much.

International Information :


He had a glittering 16 year career while playing for Australia which started in 1993 and went on till 2009 and in between he left his mark on world cricket in a big way. His debut test match was on 4th March 1994 against South Africa and after 15 years at the top his last test match was on 3rd January 2009 and it was also against South Africa. Likewise, his debut ODI match was on 19th May 1993 against England and his final ODI match was vs India on 4th March 2008 thus ending an outstanding career in ODI cricket.
