In the first Zimbabwe innings Shane Bond bowled 17 overs and he took 6 wickets while giving away 51 runs. He had an economy rate of 3 per over. Shane Bond bowled fast and the Zimbabwe batters had no answer for it and they were all out for 231 in the first innings. Shane Bond did not stop here as in the second innings he took another 4 wickets to make it 10 Wickets in the match. He bowled 14 overs in this innings and took 4 wickets for 48 runs. New Zealand won this match by an innings and 46 runs.

2) 5/107 and 3/46 vs Pakistan (2009)


This was the last test match in the career of Shane Bond and what a way to go out of test cricket. Shane Bond was playing against Pakistan and he took 5 wickets in the first innings in the 27.5 overs he bowled and he gave away 107 Runs. In the second batting innings of Pakistan he bowled better as he took 3 Wickets while only giving away 46 runs in 21 overs. New Zealand won this match by 32 runs and it was a close test match.

3) 5/78 vs West Indies (2002)


This was the first 5 Wicket Haul for Shane Bond In test cricket hence it was a very special moment for him. Shane Bond was made as a test bowler in this match and he showed the West Indies team what he was about. He had already picked up  2 wickets in the first innings of this match but in the second innings he bowled for 21 overs and he picked 5 wickets for 78 runs. New Zealand won this match by 204 runs.

This is the best ODI performance by Shane Bond and it came against one of the best Indian teams of all time. New Zealand were bowled out for 215 and it looked like an easy win for India but Shane Bond had other ideas. He bowled the best 9 overs of his life and he only gave away 19 runs and took 6 wickets. India were all out for a mere 164 and New Zealand won the match by 51 runs and it us all thanks to Shane Bond.

5) 5/23 vs Australia (2007)


This performance is very special because this one came against arguably the best ODI team of all time and Shane Bond made them look like amateurs. New Zealand bowled Australia out for only 148 while batting first and Shane Bond took 5/23 in 9.3 overs meaning an economy rate of 2.5 per over. Australia had no answer to the pace of Shane Bond and New Zealand won this match by 10 wickets and to beat that Australian team by 10 wickets is something that happens once in a blue moon.
