5/54 and 4/40 vs India (1987)


This test match against India was one of the best test match performances by Courtney Walsh in his career and he was all over India in both the innings and he showed all his class in this match. In the first innings India got off to a good start with 50-0 and it looked like India would get to a good score but this great Bowler had other plans in the match as he started to take wickets and dent the score of India and he took a great fifer in the first innings and then his tormenting of India was not finished as he took 4 wickets in the second innings to take West Indies through and win the match for his nation.

4/25 vs India (1989)


It looks like he likes playing against India and this time it was the time for the white ball format of the game and it was the first match of the 1989/1990 Champions Trophy and he tormented India yet again and this time he took out the top order In his first spell and when he returned to bowl again in this match he got 2 more wickets he won that match for the West Indies as well and his legacy was growing match after match.

5/1 vs Sri Lanka (1986)


This was a spell of bowling which we rarely see in international cricket where the amount of runs given is 1 is and the number of wickets taken is 5. This match against Sri Lanka in the 1986/87 Champions Trophy and while batting first West Indies made 248 and Sri Lanka had 249 to win and the scoreboard pressure got to them so much that they just kept giving away wickets to this legendary fast bowler Courtney Walsh and he k st toyed with Sri Lanka and West Indies won the match easily.

4/43 and 6/74 vs England (2000)


This was a great performance by the great Courtney Walsh in the later part of his career and this time it was against England and it was a very memorable test match for him where he got 10 wickets in the match. He got 4 wickets in the first innings and got England out for 133 runs and in the second innings he got 6/74 runs but England won the match but this was a very memorable performance by him and he will always be celebrated by the cricketing world.

7/37 and 6/18 vs New Zealand (1994)


This was the career best Bowling performance by the great Courtney Walsh as he got 13 wickets in this match against New Zealand and absolutely destroyed their batting line-up in both the innings of the test match. In the first innings after West Indies put 660 on the board Courtney Walsh absolutely tore apart and took 6 wickets in the first innings and then to further add on the misery he bettered his own performance in the second innings where he took 7 wickets for just 18 runs to hand the West Indies an easy win against New Zealand at their home ground.
