After we did a few Profile articles about the great bowlers in Pakistan cricket history, now it’s time to talk about one of the best batters to ever play for Pakistan for a number of years and one batter that loved hitting big hundreds in both formats of the game. Younis Khan is one of the true greats of the gaje within the last 25 years and his absence is very much missed in the current Pakistan team.

Younis Khan was the Mr Dependable of the Pakistan batting order and till the time that he was present in the middle all the fans of the team had hoped that everything will be alright. Thus trust is not easy to get and it shows how great of a player he was and how lucky Pakistan cricket was to have him serve them. Let’s look at the Profile Stats and Records of the great Younis Khan.


Profile :


The full name of Younis Khan was Mohammad Younis Khan and he was born in Mardan in Pakistan and just like all the greats of the game even he was into cricket since a long period of time and he had good skills with a bat from the time he was young and he was guided properly and rest is history. His height was 5 ft 11 inches which helped him get on top of the ball and control the bounce of the wicket and score runs from the pull and the hook shot. He was also a right arm medium pace bowler whenever needed by the team.

International Information :

Younis Khan played for Pakistan for 17 years starting from 2000 till 2017 and in all those 17 years he was scoring runs and was consistent and thus the Pakistan team was being greatly helped by him. His first test match was against Sri Lanka on 26th February 2000 and after 17 years of top level test cricket he played his last test match on 14th May 2017 vs West Indies. His ODI career alsi started in 2000 and on 13th February vs Sri Lanka he made his debut and on 11th November 2015 vs England he played his last ODI match. He also played T20I cricket for Pakistan for 4 years and was very good at it.
