Graham Gooch is one of the all time great England cricketers of all time and he played international cricket for 20 years which is something only a handful of players are able to do at such a high level. 333 vs India (1990)
This is the best innings in the career of Graham Gooch without a doubt and it is still celebrated today with as much fervor as it was that day. He absolutely decimated India that day at Lord’s and never allowed the Bowlers to get him out. In his marathon 333 he played for 485 balls and he got 43 fours and 3 sixes all around Lord’s which means a total of 190 runs in boundaries and he batted at a strike rate of 68.66. It was an extraordinary batting Performance by a special player.

196 vs Australia (1985)
If there ever was one innings that won a match for any nation this would be at the near top of that list and to do it in the Ashes is even more special. In this test match Graham Gooch played such a lovely innings that the Australian team was blown away and they were not able to come back in the match. England were batting first and he hit a brilliant 196 from 310 balls which included 27 fours which means 108 runs in boundaries and he batted at a good strike rate of 63.23. The Australian team were Bowled out twice and England won the match.

210 vs New Zealand (1994)
This incredible innings came at the later stages of his career and even after playing for 19 years he was batting like this. In this test match he was the highest scorer by a long way as he smashed 210 from 317 balls and took the spine from the New Zealand attack. He hit 29 hours in this innings which means a total of 116 runs in boundaries and he batted at a great strike rate of 66.25. After this Innings New Zealand lost the match quite easily and again Graham Gooch showed his class.

154* vs West Indies (1991)
This is one of those batting Performances that single handedly changed the course of the match. In this test match after the first 2 batting Innings England and West Indies were level and it needed a special effort to win this match and that’s what Graham Gooch did in the second innings for England. He came out to open and no one else I. The England batting line-up could cross 27 in this innings. Graham Gooch played for 331 balls and hit 18 fours in this One man show and he single handedly won this test match for England.

142 vs Pakistan (1987)
This is the highest ODI score in the career of Graham Gooch and it is one of his best batting Performances as it came overseas where the pitch was not in his liking. He batted first and came out to open the Innings and he tore apart the bowling attack of Pakistan and made a great 142 from just 134 balls with 14 fours and he batted at a great strike rate of 105.97 and England won this match by 23 runs and his innings made all the difference.
