This was the first Women’s Doubles Wimbledon title for Martina Navratilova and her partner was yet again Chris Evert as they took on Billie Jean King and Betty Stove in the final and it was a thrilling final and it went all 3 sets. Martina and Chris won the 1st set of the final 6-1 but they lost the 2nd set by 3-6 and it was all to play for but Martina and Chris came out all guns blazing and won the deciding set by 7-5 and the Wimbledon title in 1976.

1977 US Open Women’s Doubles Final


The 3rd performance that we will talk about is the 1977 US Open Women’s Doubles Final where Martina Navratilova teamed up with Betty Stove and their opponents were Rennie Richards and Betty Ann Stuart and Martina and Betty won the match in 2 sets. They won the 1st set easily 6-1 but in the 2nd set the All American pair came back strong and it was 6-6 but in the tie break Martina and Betty won and thus the 1977 US Open Final.
